A samosa is a fried triangular pastry with a savoury filling, such as spiced potatoes, onion, coriander and green peas, or minced meat. It is a common snack in countries such as India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. Recipes tend to differ on what should fill a samosa, and on what pastry to use. In India, samosa are usually taken as a complete meal for breakfast/ brunch or as an evening snack. Samosas are eaten by hand, by its own or dipped in chutneys.
