Ingredients needed:

1. 100gm Yoghurt
2. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
3. 1 tsp turmeric powder
4. 2 tsp masala salt
5. 1 teaspoon chili powder
6. 1 tsp fennel seed powder
7. 2 cloves Garlic
8. 1 onion
9. 75gm cashew nuts
10. 30gm butter
11. 50ml Oil
12. 1 cinnamon stick
13. 2 cardamoms
14. 1 pc bay leaf
15. 1/2 tsp paprika powder
16. 100gm tomato puree
17. 100ml Water
18. 50 ml cooking cream
19. 500gm Chicken - diced
20. Salt (to taste)
21. A bit of water to blend the garlic and shallots

Directions:

1. First add garlic and shallots with a bit of water into the blender. Blend until smooth. Set it aside.

2. Meanwhile, add the yoghurt, turmeric powder, masala salt, chilli powder, fennel seed powder, and lemon juice into a bowl and mix well. Pour onto the chicken, and marinate for 20 minutes.

3. Then, Heat the oil and butter that has been melted. Add the blended onions, cinnamon stick, cardamom and bay leaves. Stir fry until fragrant.

4. Reduce heat, add chicken, paprika powder, tomato puree, cream and water. Let it cook for 15 minit. Finally, add a bit of salt to add to taste

5. Place the chicken on a plate and sprinkle with cashew nuts. The butter chicken is ready to be served.
