Teh tarik, or “Pulled Tea” is a famous Malaysian drink commonly found in restaurants, stalls and kopitams. The drink hold a special place in Malaysian hearts and best drink during breakfast or tea-time.
Teh tarik is basically made of black teas, condensed milk and/or evaporated milk. Its name is derived from the pouring process of ‘pulling’ the drink, usually done in the mamak (Indian Muslims) stalls when creating the drink. The milk tea is poured through the air between two cups until it reaches a rich, frothy texture.
